March 2, 2026

The Rawlins County wrestling program made a strong showing at the 2026 KSHSAA 3-2-1A State wrestling Championships in Hays qualifying four athletes and bringing home both a state title and a runner-up finish. Four buffs qualified to compete in Hays on February 27-28th. Maggie Holle, Corbin Franklin, Gage Withington, and Daylan Fairchild all took to the mat on Friday and Saturday. At the end of a tough weekend of competition two buffs left with some hardware! Leading the way was freshman Corbin Franklin who captured the 106lb state title. Adding to the teams hardware was Maggie Holle who fought her way to a state runner-up finish in the 130lb girls division. Maggie Holle also captured her 100th win in her first match on Friday. Congrats Maggie!
