Hello! I am Mardi Lohoefener. I am the new K-12 School Counselor. I am in my 25th year of teaching. I previously taught special education in both Norton and Oberlin, Kansas. I grew up on a farm near Smith Center Kansas. I graduated high school from Kensington, and went on to Kansas State University. I graduated with a BS in Elementary Education and have completed my Master's in Special Education and Administration from Fort Hays State University. I have recently started my counseling program through FHSU as well.

I am married and have three great kids. My oldest, Sierra, started her first year of teaching in Oberlin. Sage, a junior and Grady an eighth grader, keep me busy going to sporting events.

I am excited to start a new chapter in my life and look forward to many years as a counselor in the USD105 district!
