Mariyah Nichols Has Artwork Accepted Into a National Art Show

Mariyah Nichols, a Junior art student at Rawlins County High School recently was awarded a National Medal on her acrylic painting "Rainy City Night" by the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards Competition. This is a HUGE honor! Mariyah has been invited to attend the opening ceremonies at Carnegie Hall in NYC this coming summer and her artwork will be displayed with other National Award Winners. This painting had, at the Kansas state level, also received a "Gold Key", an American Vision Award, and the People's Choice Award when it was displayed in Montezuma, KS the month of February.
