Art Scholarships offered to Rawlins County students

$248,600 worth of scholarships offered to Rawlins County students for their work on the Scholastic Arts Art/Writing Show this month.

 

 

 

The Western Kansas Scholastics Art Show was viewed by many this last month.  During that time, several colleges and universities have viewed and offered scholarships to prospective art students of grades 7-12.  Those younger students’ scholarships will be waiting for them when they are freshmen in college.

 

Fort Hays State University offered a $900 scholarship to Kathleen Hanzlick and Eliza Kastens.  After ACTs are taken, an amount will be attached to scholarships for Valerie Aldrich and Riley Unruh.

 

Pratt Community College awarded Kathleen Hanzlick a $1000 scholarship.

 

Kansas Wesleyan University awarded a $2000 scholarship to Gina Helms and Kathleen Hanzlick .

 

McPherson College awarded:

Sophia Ginther a $5000 renewable scholarship

Kathleen Hanzlick a $6000 renewable scholarship

Kaleigh McFee a $6000 renewable scholarship

Omar Sanchez a $6000 renewable scholarship

Sadie Sramek a $6000 renewable scholarship

Jordynn Fields a $7000 renewable scholarship

Kathleen Hanzlick a $7000 renewable scholarship

Rylee Unruh a $7000 renewable scholarship

 

Throughout the month long art show, everyone who visited the show voted on a People’s Choice Award.  Kathleen Hanzlick was the winner of 600 pieces with her acrylic painting entitled “My Spanish Boy”

 

 

A call was also made from Sterling College for a $10,000 renewable scholarship for Kathleen Hanzlick
