Eight students from the Rawlins County High School attended the McCook Hospital Career Discovery Day.  This was held on January 31st at the McCook Hospital.  Each student went to three morning sessions and three afternoon sessions.  This is an annual event that gives students a hands-on view of several health care related careers.  Some of the sessions were suturing or stapling an open wound, performing CPR, and stopping a life threatening bleed.  The areas of labor & delivery, surgery, emergency room, radiology, and occupational, physical and speech therapy were also part of the day.  83 high school students from McCook and several surrounding schools participated.  This day was provided by the McCook Hospital and included a free breakfast & lunch, a fidget spinner, and a blue-tooth speaker.  Students attending were:  Chiani Pearce, Dana Doty, Katie Hanzlick, Amy Crouse, Marissa Ross, Dalyn  McFee, Cecelia Skolout and Emily Trail.  Jacque Leitner organized the trip.
