Monsanto Community Grant to FFA Greenhouse
Atwood FFA Receives Monsanto Grant
America’s Farmers Grow Communities Grant, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, has partnered with farmers to make a positive impact in farming communities across America. Jan Crouse, a local farmer, has designated the $2,500 Monsanto Working Together To Grow Communities grant she won to the Atwood FFA. The Community Grant will be used to improve the school greenhouse. The greenhouse was built in 2005 and is in need of repair and maintenance. The watering and fertilizing systems will be upgraded. Repairs will be made to the existing cooling and lighting components. The Monsanto America’s Farmers Grow Communities Grant will have the greenhouse ready for students to have a great horticulture experience.
