Honor Choir Students Selected for Northwest District
Senior Bass Selected for All-State
The members of Junior High Honor Choir (pictured) were selected after auditioning to be a part of the Northwest District Junior High Honor Choir on November 6, 2011 at Hays High School, Hays, Kansas. Approximately 250 singers are selected from around the whole northwest district.
Junior High students selected were: Olivia Chvatal, Abby Horton, Gracyn Higley, Sophia Hampton, Tyler Beckman, Drew Lankas, Will Ginther, Rob Brown, Jared Engle, Mariah Ross, Lauren Terry, Brandi Dietrich.
Elementary students selected were: Cecelia Skolout, Lidia Hurst, Eliza Kastens, Maverick Green, Colton Tiemeyer, and Braden Leitner.
High School students selected to be part of approximately 200 singers who made up the Northwest District High School Honor Choir were: Matalyn Higley, Isabella Skolout, Katelyn Brown, Selentina Zorn, Alex Helms, Dylan Tiemeyer, and Michael Capo. The event took place on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Beach Schmidt Auditiorium on the campus of Fort Hays State University. Alex Helms has also been selected as a Bass in the 2012 All-State KMEA Choir to take place at Century II in Wichita on February 23-25, 2012. Congratulations, Alex and all the Honor Choir members!
