RCHS Volleyball

The Rawlins County Varsity Volleyball team started out their
season with a 2-0 record on Tuesday in Quinter. In the game against
Quinter Senior, Emily Chessmore had four ace serves, and Junior,
Audrey Basgall also had four aces. Sophomore, Hillary Chvatal led
the team in kills with a total of nine. Senior, Jill Bergling, and
Audrey Basgall led the team in passing, and Seniors, Whitney Green
and Emily Chessmore led the team in setting, defeating the Bulldogs
in two sets. The first set was 25-10 and the second set was
25-22.
In the game against Trego, Hillary Chvatal led the team with nine
blocks, and Junior, Ashleigh Peterson was right behind her with
seven blocks. Hillary Chvatal also led the team in ace serves with
five, and Audrey Basgall following her closely with four. Jill
Bergling led the team in passing and digs. The Lady Buffs defeated
Trego in three sets losing the first 23-25, but coming back to win
the second 25-17 and the third 25-19.
The Lady Buffs are coached by head coach Kathy Leitner and
assistants Deb Noble and April Green.
