Jr. High Students Learn How to Be Leaders

Leadership is defined as: " An influence relationship between leaders and followers who intend real change for the common good".
Eleven Jr. high students attended the Kansas Youth Academy which was held at the Sternberg Museum at Hays on October 2nd. This is the third year that we have attended attended.
63 students from Concordia, Natomia, Stockton, Victoria, Liberal , Hays and Rawlins County attended the Academy. There were four morning sessions and two sessions in the afternoon all emphasizing Leadership, Teamwork and Civic Leadership.
The students were served pizza for lunch and each participant received a KYLA t-shirt.
