Rawlins County USD #105 was formed on July 1, 2003 with the consolidation of Atwood USD #318 and Herndon USD #317. The district is 740 square miles. The district employees 36 certified staff members and 46 classified staff members. The headcount enrollment for the 2006-07 school year is 328.
Rawlins County Elementary School is grades K - 6 with an enrollment of 148. Rawlins County Jr/Sr High School is grades 7 - 12 with an enrollment of 180.
